Minsk Oblast is poised to significantly expand its export portfolio to Hong Kong, focusing on meat and dairy products, following strategic discussions with a delegation from China Merchants International Corporation. The talks, led by Minsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Turchin, signal a deepening of trade ties between the Belarusian region and key markets in Guangdong Province and Hong Kong.
Governor Turchin, who recently returned from a working visit to China, emphasized that the agreements made during his trip are already yielding tangible results. "The outcomes of the visit to China show that our agreements are being fulfilled. We have already made new plans, especially in the dairy and meat industries," Turchin noted.
The expansion of exports to China will now include a broader range of products such as dry milk, meat, and offal, with the potential for sausage production also under discussion. The high quality of Belarusian products has been well-received by Chinese partners, who are keen to introduce them not only in Hong Kong but also across Southeast Asia.
The head of the Chinese delegation expressed confidence in the popularity of Belarusian products among Chinese consumers, suggesting a strong demand in the region.
