Milk Production in Kazakhstan’s Households Reached 413.5 million Liters in the Second Quarter

In the second quarter of 2024, households in Kazakhstan produced 413.5 million liters of fresh milk.
In total, Kazakhstan’s households produced goods worth 56.5 billion tenge, with food products accounting for 54.9 billion tenge (up 2.4% year-on-year), according to Dairynews.today, citing energyprom.kz data.
The largest production volumes in the food segment were recorded in "animal fats" (12.5 billion tenge) and "sour cream and other dairy products" (11.8 billion tenge). Additionally, "cheese and cottage cheese" were highlighted, with production amounting to 3.068 billion tenge.
Revenues from milk sales reached 14.1 billion tenge, representing 62.1% of all income from food product sales.
According to energyprom.kz, the next largest sources of income were from beef sales (4 billion tenge, down 39.2%) and pork sales (1.5 billion tenge, up 3.6%). Household income was also significantly supported by the sale of eggs (1.4 billion tenge), lamb (686 million tenge), horse meat (586.9 million tenge), and honey (127.9 million tenge).
