Milk Production in Kazakhstan Increased by 4.2% in January-October 2024

According to the data from the National Statistics Bureau of Kazakhstan, the primary growth in livestock product production in Kazakhstan during January-October 2024 was driven by agricultural enterprises, which increased their production by 12% to 398.1 thousand tons.
At the same time, production in household farms decreased by 3.1%, totaling 338.1 thousand tons, while farms and individual entrepreneurs showed a 3.8% increase, reaching 152.8 thousand tons.
In January-October 2024, cow's milk production in Kazakhstan increased by 4.2%, reaching 3.1 million tons.
The leaders in milk production were:
Turkestan region: 387.7 thousand tons (+13.7%)
North Kazakhstan region: 326.7 thousand tons (+5.6%)
Abai region: 259.1 thousand tons (+2.6%)
Almaty region: 251.8 thousand tons (+7.3%)
Pavlodar region: 203.5 thousand tons (+1.5%)
During this period, over 889 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (in slaughter weight) were processed, which is 4.4% more than in the same period last year.
The highest volumes of meat production were reported in the following regions:
Almaty region: 145.3 thousand tons (+18.2%)
Akmola region: 111.1 thousand tons (-0.6%)
Turkestan region: 92.4 thousand tons (+3.4%)
East Kazakhstan region: 85.1 thousand tons (+3.6%)
Abai region: 59.6 thousand tons (+0.6%)
Egg production increased slightly by 0.9%, reaching 3.7 billion eggs. However, production rates slowed down in some regions. Akmola (581.8 million eggs, -1.3%) and Karaganda (526.9 million eggs, -5.3%) regions remain leaders but show a decline. Regions showing growth include:
North Kazakhstan region: 504.4 million eggs (+4.9%)
Almaty region: 436.5 million eggs (+6.4%)
Kostanay region: 326.9 million eggs (+13.2%)
