Mikhail Mishchenko Joins the International Cheese Guild La Guilde Internationale des Fromagers

Mikhail Mishchenko, the publisher of Dairynews.today, has been named an honorary member of the International Cheese Guild, a recognition he admits came as a surprise to him, reports Dairynews.today.
“Somehow, unexpectedly for myself and those around me, I became a member of the International Cheese Guild. Perhaps it’s not entirely deserved, as I’m not a cheesemaker,” the expert noted. “I believe this honorary membership should have gone to the most important cheesemaker in my life—and, frankly, someone who has done much more than I have for the development of craft cheese-making in Russia—Maria Koval.”
Mishchenko expressed that it was a pleasure to be among the new honorary members, including Alexander Krupeckov, Olga Shevchuk, and Askar Sailaubayev. He also thanked Alexandra Grigorova, her husband Nikita, and Alexei Andreev for organizing the International Forum of Dairy Industry Experts, Cheese Producers, and Dairy Product Manufacturers in Aktau, which he believes could become a major event for the Eurasian cheese market.
“It was a true honor to be recognized at such a level. The event showcased Russia’s potential in the field of craft cheese-making and highlighted the growing interest in artisanal cheese production on the international stage,” Mishchenko emphasized.
