Live Protein from Grain to Be Produced in Kazakhstan for Export to the USA

A joint venture between companies from Turkey and Qatar plans to implement a project in Kazakhstan for the construction of a facility for deep grain processing. The product to be produced is live protein, which will be made from Kazakh grain.
The product is planned to be exported to the USA. According to official information, the cost of constructing and implementing the facility is estimated at $400 million. The capacity will be 240,000 tons. However, it has not yet been announced what specific products the capacity is intended for.
According to the chairman of the board of Kazakh Invest, Yerzhan Yelekeev, who provided this information to the newspaper "Kazakhstan Pravda," this project is very interesting. The grain deep processing complex plans to establish the production of live protein, which is a basic ingredient for dietary supplements and protein powders for the sports industry. The products are aimed at export to the United States of America. According to Yelekeev, live protein used in the production of supplements for athletes is in high demand in America.
It is reported that the raw material, wheat grain, will be purchased from local farmers.
This product will have a higher price compared to the raw material – $5,000 per ton, while wheat grain costs $250 per ton.
