Kyrgyzstan has reduced cattle imports from Russia by 12%

Cattle imports from Russia to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 12% in the first nine months of 2024. This is reported in the data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic.
According to the report, from January to September 2024, Kyrgyzstan purchased 6.5 thousand heads of cattle from Russia for a total amount of $1.8 million. For comparison, in the same period of 2023, 7.3 thousand heads worth $1.9 million were imported.
Structure of cattle imports to Kyrgyzstan
In addition to Russia, the following countries supplied cattle to Kyrgyzstan in 2024:
Kazakhstan: imports have more than doubled — from 2.2 thousand heads in 2023 to 4 thousand heads in 2024. The total amount of purchases amounted to $804.1 thousand.
Czech Republic: the volume of supplies decreased by 44%, to 155 heads, but the cost reached $461.2 thousand.
Germany: cattle exports to Kyrgyzstan fell from 127 to 30 heads, and the cost of supplies decreased to $92.7 thousand.
Austria: supplies were completely absent in 2024, although 63 heads worth $192.8 thousand were imported a year earlier.
