Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan and the UAE signed export contracts worth 28.6 million dollars

The trade and economic mission of Kazakhstani enterprises took place from February 27 to 29 in the United Arab Emirates. As part of the trade mission, the Kazakh-Emirati Business Forum was held at the Dubai 2020 EXPO site.
Over 200 companies fr om two countries took part in the event, The DairyNews reports with reference to the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Opening the forum, Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev noted that the Emirates is Kazakhstan's largest trading partner in the Middle East.
"Thanks to the tax-free system, a strong economy and the demand for Kazakhstani goods in the UAE, the Emirates is justifiably one of the most popular destinations for Kazakhstani businessmen," Arman Shakkaliyev said.
According to the results of last year, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to $ 328.9 million, of which Kazakh exports accounted for $ 210.3 million, imports from the UAE – $ 118.6 million. Given the significant trade and economic potential, Kazakhstan and the Emirates can increase trade volumes to $ 1 billion.
Domestic enterprises are ready to increase the supply of organic agricultural products to the Gulf market. At the same time, Kazakhstan is interested in cooperating with Emirati companies in the field of agriculture.
"We welcome the partnership in the field of agriculture, and we also invite Emirati companies to invest in the production of organic food products. The Government of Kazakhstan has guaranteed a safe and stable investment environment, providing for a package of investment preferences for export-oriented projects," the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan stressed.
"The UAE and Kazakhstan have great prospects for cooperation, the directions outlined by Mr. Minister are a priority for us, and we are ready to promote the development of bilateral relations. Dialogue platforms for business have been created, and the trading house you have launched will launch new projects between our companies," Mr. Ben Salem said.
To increase the attractiveness and promotion of domestic goods and services to the UAE market, a Trading House of Kazakhstan was opened in the national pavilion at EXPO Dubai with the assistance of QazTrade, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the UAE.
"The infrastructure of the pavilion is provided to entrepreneurs free of charge until the end of 2024. A showroom of Kazakhstani goods will be located on the ground floor of the trading house. The Qaz Step Innovation Hub coworking is being launched on the second floor, wh ere advanced startup projects of Kazakhstan will be presented," the press service said.
B2B negotiations were held under the auspices of QazTrade, and export contracts worth $ 28.6 million were signed following business meetings.
