The Trust for Trading Co company from Qatar plans to start supplying dairy camels to the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan for breeding and further supplies to local farmers. The details of cooperation were discussed by Deputy Akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kosherov and CEO of Trust for Trading Co Saleh Jaber Al Mari.
According to the Governor's Office, Qatari investors plan to import dairy camels from Qatar for further breeding and sale to local farmers who will supply camel milk to the Golden Camel processing plant in Turkestan. To date, Golden Camel buys camel milk at a price of 850 tenge per liter, makes dry products from it and exports products to China. The company plans to increase the volume of purchases, which makes this cooperation promising for both sides.
The possibility of providing preferential loans to local farmers to stimulate production and expand the market for camel milk was also discussed. The akimat noted that the project contributes to the economic development of the region and the creation of new jobs, and upon positive consideration, a site with the necessary infrastructure will be provided.
Trust for Trading Co is a subsidiary of a large international livestock holding company that exports livestock and meat to the Persian Gulf countries and other regions.
