DJI Agriculture: The Global Market for Agricultural Drones and Their Environmental Impact
According to World of NAN, by the end of June 2024, there will be 300,000 agricultural drones worldwide that have treated over 500 million hectares of farmland.

The use of drones in agriculture has significantly impacted resource conservation and improved environmental sustainability. Thanks to drones, water consumption was reduced by 210 million tons and pesticide use by 47 thousand tons. This led to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 25.72 million tons, equivalent to the amount that 1.2 billion trees can absorb.

Some countries have begun to ease regulations governing the use of drones. In Brazil, ANAC has changed requirements, and now drone registration and pilot licensing are only necessary before they begin operation. In the USA, the FAA has published a list of approved agricultural drones, and in China, rules have been introduced allowing manufacturers to train drone pilots.

The DJI Agriculture report also presents best practices and provides valuable advice on training staff, using unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture, and integrating agronomy with drones.

It was previously reported that Kazakhstan would be purchasing smart drones from the Chinese company Suzhou Eavision Robotic Technologies Co. This equipment will be used for plant protection in agriculture.
