Bega Cheese set its milk price range from $7.90 to $8.20 per kg of milk solids (MS), indicating a cautious market approach. Similarly, Kyvalley Dairy Group has set a base price for conventional milk at 50 cents per litre, adapting to the evolving market conditions.

Bulla Dairy Foods announced a significant adjustment in its milk price from last year's $8.80-$9.60 per kg MS to $7.85-$8.65 per kg MS this season. Allan Hood, CEO of Bulla, cited unprecedented increases in input costs, shifts in consumer behavior, and intensified competition from imported dairy products as key factors influencing the new pricing strategy. "We are committed to addressing these challenges through innovative portfolio strategies and continuous improvements," Hood stated, emphasizing the company's dedication to sustaining a robust partnership with its farmers.

Burra Foods also reported a decrease in its farm gate milk price, ranging from $8 to $8.50 per kg MS, down from last year's $8.90 to $9.40. Stewart Carson, CEO of Burra, expressed a resilient outlook despite the downturn. "The past year has brought numerous market changes, but our adaptability has allowed us to seize emerging opportunities," Carson commented. He highlighted the company's ongoing commitment to product diversification and production enhancements, which are central to Burra's strategic growth and support for the local dairy community.
