This significant investment will introduce new technology and substantial improvements to one of the country's largest cheese-making facilities, which has been operational for over 50 years.

While the investment will ensure the stability of the 240 jobs at the site, Arla has indicated that it does not plan to create additional positions. Fran Ball, Vice President of Production at Arla in the UK, emphasized the investment as a pivotal moment for the Lockerbie operations. "This investment marks a new chapter for our Lockerbie Creamery and underscores our dedication to continuing the production of award-winning cheese," said Ball. "At Arla, we are steadfast in our commitment to invest in UK production to keep up with the growing demand for high-quality, nutritious dairy products."
