UK Dairy Supplier Ever Fresh Dairy Enters Liquidation Amid Industry Challenges

Ever Fresh Dairy, a supplier based in London, has ceased operations and entered liquidation as the dairy industry faces severe challenges. The company, which provided products like milk, cheese, and eggs, appointed liquidators on March 19, 2026. This development comes amid significant turmoil in the dairy sector, with prices for products such as mild cheddar, butter, and skimmed milk powder reaching their lowest levels in five years, according to the National Farmers Union of Scotland (NFUS).

Major dairy processors including Arla, Muller, and First Milk have decreased the prices paid to farmers, citing global market conditions as a key factor. Despite these reduced prices, milk production in the UK is anticipated to surpass 13 billion liters this year, marking a record high. This paradox of low prices and high production presents a unique challenge for the industry.

Robert Neil Dymon and Joanne Louise Hammond from BTG Begbies Traynor in Northampton have been appointed as joint liquidators for Ever Fresh Dairy. The company prided itself on offering high-quality dairy products and had described itself as progressive and fast-growing.

The broader retail environment in the UK is also facing difficulties, with significant restructuring plans underway for major high street retailers. While the dairy sector is experiencing specific challenges, these developments are part of a larger trend of economic realignment affecting multiple sectors.
