Tripura Partners with NDDB to Modernize Dairy Cooperatives
On June 24, 2026, a significant tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Agartala, Tripura, involving the State Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD), the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the Gomati Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Limited. The ceremony took place at the Civil Secretariat in the presence of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and NDDB Chairman Meenesh Shah, among other officials.
This agreement is designed to enhance the dairy cooperative sector within the northeastern Indian state by focusing on modernization efforts. The primary objectives include increasing milk production capabilities and improving the socio-economic conditions of dairy farmers across Tripura.
