In March 2025, Ukraine witnessed stabilization in dairy product prices due to supermarket promotions and declining raw milk prices.

In March 2025, the Ukrainian dairy market experienced a notable stabilization in prices for finished products. This shift is attributed to promotional activities by retailers and a continued decline in raw milk prices, which have decreased by 18% from December 2024 peak levels, according to the Association of Milk Producers (AMP).
Many dairy processors offered discounts to boost demand, leading to a reduction in prices for products like 72.5% fat butter, Maasdam cheese, and pasteurized milk. As of April 3, pasteurized drinking milk averaged 59 UAH/kg, marking a 26% increase year-over-year. Kefir with 2.5% fat maintained its price at 70.48 UAH/kg, rising 30% year-on-year.
Sour cream priced at 175.56 UAH/kg shows a yearly increase of 38%. Drinking yogurt remained stable at 111.18 UAH/kg, witnessing a 26% uplift compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, 9% fat cottage cheese surged to 283.01 UAH/kg, up by 26% year-on-year. Butter at 73% fat in 180g packs reached 107.91 UAH, a 45% annual increase. Likewise, Maasdam cheese saw prices climb to 500.66 UAH/kg, reflecting a 31% rise.
Ukrainian cheese held steady at 463.40 UAH/kg, up 27% y-o-y, similar to the trend seen in Dutch cheese and mozzarella. Retail prices in March rose from both the previous month and last year, highlighting an enduring trend in the domestic dairy sector.
