SGS and Yili Group Collaborate to Enhance Dairy Quality and Sustainability
SGS, a leading testing, inspection, and certification company, has announced a partnership with Yili Group, one of the largest dairy producers in China, aiming to advance quality and sustainability within the dairy industry. The partnership was officially established on October 9, 2025, at Yili Modern Smart Health Valley in China's Inner Mongolia region.
The collaboration is set to promote comprehensive global standardization across various aspects of dairy production, including safety, sustainability, and innovation. SGS and Yili have committed to delivering integrated solutions that cover safety and nutrition across testing, inspection, certification, training, and consultancy services.
During a tour of Yili's facilities, including the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center and the Chilechuan Ecological Smart Pasture, SGS representatives were shown how digitalization, low-carbon practices, and intelligent systems are incorporated across Yili's value chain. This visit facilitated discussions on forage cultivation, milk supply quality, and product innovation.
The partnership will also focus on joint zero-carbon initiatives, such as carbon reduction services including audits and certification, as well as digital integration for seamless testing and data exchange between SGS and Yili systems. Charles Ly Wa Hoi from SGS commented on the partnership's potential to support Yili's global development strategy.
Yili Group's vice president, Liu Dapeng, emphasized the company's commitment to quality and food safety, highlighting the importance of the partnership with SGS in demonstrating the reliability of China's dairy industry to global consumers.
