A third-generation Scottish dairy business has unveiled an exciting double product launch, including what is being hailed as the UK's first protein-packed ice cream. Bridge of Allan-based Graham's Family Dairy has rolled out these innovative offerings across Scotland.

Graham's new protein ice cream contains 10 grams of natural dairy protein per 100g serving and features flavors like vanilla, salted caramel, and double chocolate. Each serving boasts under 170 calories while using natural dairy protein instead of plant-based or powdered forms.

Alongside the ice cream, Graham's has introduced a protein cottage cheese with 30g of protein per 200g pot, available in a natural flavor. This launch builds on the company's successful traditional cottage cheese line, which has seen a sales increase of 40% in the past year.

Robert Graham, Managing Director, expressed, "Growing up on the dairy, ice cream was always a staple in our house. With protein growing in dietary importance, we aimed to create an indulgent yet health-supportive treat."

In collaboration with Loughborough University, the new cottage cheese is recognized for promoting muscle recovery and bone health, offering a nutritious option for a balanced diet, according to Andrew Shepherd, Performance Nutrition Lead at the university.
