Sardar Cattle Feed is expanding its livestock-nutrition business in India under Sudharma Animal Nutrition Pvt. Ltd., which took its current corporate form in 2026. The company began as a family-run cattle-feed operation established by Shri Ramesh Goyal and now operates alongside the Sudharma Feed brand.
Sardar Cattle Feed Expands Animal-Nutrition Business Since 1984

Sardar Cattle Feed traces its origins to 1984, when the business operated as Shri Sudharma Industries. It was established by Late Shri Ramesh Goyal and developed over four decades from a cattle-feed enterprise into a wider animal-nutrition company. The business says it initially focused on balanced feed and the dietary needs of dairy farmers as branded cattle feed was developing in India.

Sudharma Animal Nutrition Pvt. Ltd. adopted its current corporate structure in 2026. Akshit Ram Goyal is the managing director, while Savita Goyal and Isha Goyal are directors. The management includes several generations of the family involved in the business since its establishment. Sardar Cattle Feed and Sudharma Feed are the company’s two brands.

Products and feeding guidance

The Sardar range includes four products for cows: Sardar Gold Line C-3000, Sardar Red Label C-5000, Sardar Energy+ C-8000 and Sardar Booster C-10000. Their published specifications differ in areas including protein, fat and fibre. The company also sells buffalo products, including Sardar Buff Booster and Sardar Buff+, as well as mineral supplements named Sardar Min Forte and Sardar Cal Forte.

The company’s feeding guidance identifies protein, energy, fat, minerals and vitamins as components of an animal’s diet. It states that requirements can vary with breed, age, body condition, milk output, lactation stage and access to green fodder. The guidance recommends using concentrated feed with suitable green grass or hay, rather than treating cattle feed as the entire ration. It advises changing to Sardar feed gradually over about seven to ten days and gives separate quantities for cows and buffaloes based on milk production.

Manufacturing and distribution

Sudharma Animal Nutrition says ingredients for Sardar cattle feed are tested before processing and undergo quality-control analysis. The process described by the company includes proportionate dosing, grinding, mixing, molassing and pelleting. Finished products are packed in HDPE bags.

The manufacturing facility is at Village Kauri on G.T. Road near Khanna in Punjab. Punjab remains a significant operating area, while the company has expanded into markets in other Indian states. It is developing a nationwide network of dealers and distributors and has identified long-term relationships with channel partners as part of its distribution approach.

Expansion plans

Sudharma Animal Nutrition has said it plans to broaden its livestock-nutrition categories beyond cattle feed. The planned areas include nutrition products for cattle, goats and pigs. The company has also stated that it intends to expand its international business, including exports of Sardar Cattle Feed to African markets.

The company’s historical record includes a Gold Medal from the Institute of Quality Control and National Character, the Udyog Shree Award and Lok Shree Award in 1990, and the Udyog Rattan Award in 1993. These recognitions are presented separately from current product-performance claims.
