Russian Ice Cream Producer 'Russian Cold' Suspends Product Deliveries Starting May 1
The company highlighted that it had previously implemented a strategy of developing a federal branch network. However, as stated in the letter, the Central Bank's strict credit policy led to a significant increase in debt servicing costs and created additional pressure on operational financing.
To stabilize the financial situation, a decision was made to attract a strategic investor with capital entry. The new partner initiated a financial and economic audit to objectively assess the value of the deal.
According to the notification, 'Russian Cold' will suspend product deliveries to all partners starting May 1. The audit procedure will begin in the same period. The company plans to resume production activities in June 2026.
The company apologized for the temporary inconvenience and noted that after the reorganization, it will be able to offer the market both well-established brands and innovative products.
The 'Russian Cold' Group was founded in 1999, with production facilities located in Moscow and Barnaul. The assortment includes over 140 types of ice cream. The company independently delivers about 90% of its products to retail outlets. The distribution network includes 20 branches from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, as well as official distributors in Russia and CIS countries.
