According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Russia continues to lead in food supplies to China, Turkey and Kazakhstan, despite the impact of sanctions on the agro-industrial complex over the past 10 years.
The volume of agricultural exports in 2023 amounted to $43.5 billion, of which 88% were delivered to friendly countries. The main importers of Russian products were China ($7.6 billion), Turkey ($5 billion), Kazakhstan ($3.3 billion), Belarus ($2.8 billion) and Egypt ($2.5 billion).
Over the past 10 years, agricultural exports from Russia have increased 2.6 times, from $17.1 billion in 2013 to $43.5 billion in 2023. Today, Russia supplies food to more than 160 countries and occupies a leading position in the export of wheat, peas, barley, oilseed flax, frozen fish, sunflower oil and a number of other products.
According to the results of the first half of 2024, agricultural exports amounted to $20.4 billion, with 90% of deliveries going to friendly countries. The geography of exports expanded to 160 countries, with China, Turkey and Kazakhstan remaining key importers of Russian products.
