At the 15th General Assembly of the World Holstein-Friesian Federation (WHFF), organizations from three more countries joined the ranks of the WHFF.

The Republican Chamber for Dairy Cattle Breeding Qazaqsut.kz was created in Kazakhstan on June 29, 2011 to coordinate the system of selection and breeding work aimed at increasing the productivity of breeding animals. The chamber's goal is to provide progressive services and programs for the management of breeding dairy herds by developing partnerships, concentrating resources, combining technologies, experience and knowledge. The Chamber strives to assist Chamber members to be competitive and cost-effective producers of internationally recognized milk and breeding products.

The World Holstein-Friesian Federation (WHFF) aims to improve, develop and promote the Holstein breed. Discussion on the global issues of the Holstein breed began in 1960, and the first international meeting on the Holstein breed took place in 1964 in the Netherlands, the cradle of the breed. WHFF works with specific working groups, drawing on the expertise of technical experts from member organizations around the world. The most notable achievements are those of the Functional Conformation Traits or Type Classification Working Group, which developed and is still improving the global type rating system that is highly regarded by Holsteiners and other breeders around the world. Other working groups deal with issues of registration, genetic recessives, inbreeding and fertility.
