In 2022, milk consumption per capita was 117.7 kg and remained at the 2021 level. Laurent Damien, executive director of the analytical agency CNIEL, told The DairyNews correspondent about this during the World Dairy Summit, held in Chicago from October 15 to 19.

Taking into account the growth of the world population, the absolute growth of the market volume has remained.

It is important to note that 50% of milk is consumed in informal form, 16% is consumed in the form of butter, 14% in the form of drinking milk from whole milk products, 3% in the form of cheese.
