Mother Dairy Reports 17% Revenue Growth, Plans Further Expansion

Mother Dairy, a major milk supplier in the Delhi-NCR region, reported a 17% increase in its turnover to ₹20,300 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26. This growth was attributed to higher demand for its milk products and cooking oils, according to Jayateertha Chary, the company's new Managing Director. The company has set a target for 20% revenue growth for the fiscal year 2026-27.

The dairy segment contributed over ₹15,000 crore to the total turnover, while the edible oils and horticulture segments accounted for approximately ₹5,000 crore. The company's milk business achieved an 11% growth in volume, surpassing industry averages. Furthermore, value-added dairy products and edible oils were significant contributors to its turnover growth.

Mother Dairy's revenue sources are predominantly from the Delhi-NCR region, comprising 63% of its total revenue, with the remainder coming from other parts of India. Despite the increase in input costs, including a 20% rise in packaging material prices, the company does not currently plan to raise milk prices.

The company announced a capital expenditure of ₹2,000 crore to expand its dairy and horticulture operations, with new plants planned in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. These expansions are expected to be completed by the end of the next calendar year.

The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), operates under the 'Mother Dairy' brand for its milk products, 'Dhara' for edible oils, and 'Safal' for fresh and frozen produce.
