Magnit and Roskachestvo Initiate Farmer Audit and Support Project

In 2026, the project will take place in several regions of the Southern Federal District, Central, and Urals regions, as well as in Siberia, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg. About 60 farms will participate in the pilot phase.

Participants will include producers of meat delicacies, cheeses, and other dairy products. Most farms already supply goods to the Magnit network, including through an agro-aggregation model. Several other producers are in the process of signing contracts with the company.

Experts from Magnit and Roskachestvo will work individually with each farm: assessing production organization, establishing necessary food safety measures, and preparing recommendations for further development. Farmers will also receive advice on documentation, labeling, and production control.

According to Vladimir Gabarayev, Director of the Quality Department at Magnit Group, small producers face challenges related to documentation, labeling, production control, product safety, and supply preparation when entering a large retail network. He noted that the project provides practical assistance in addition to enterprise inspections.

The pilot project aims to create a model for farmer support regarding quality and food safety. Magnit plans to scale it up in 2027 and extend the acquired experience to more small farms.

The new project complements the retailer's existing farmer program. Magnit’s developed agro-aggregators assist farms with logistics, documentation, and product sales. Cooperation with Roskachestvo adds expertise in quality and food safety to this support.
