Kazakhstani canned camel meat was presented in Japan

Kazakhstan presented several scientific solutions in the field of food industry at the largest exhibition in Japan in the field of food technology, Foodtech Japan Tokyo. Canned camel meat aroused the interest of visitors, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
Kazakh scientists presented the technology for the production of meat products, as well as canned meat and vegetables made from camel meat. The project is being implemented by a team of researchers from the Kazakh National Agrarian University under the leadership of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Asiya Serikbaeva.
“With a high protein content (up to 29.8%), they have no cholesterol. Camel meat is rich in phosphorus, potassium, iron and vitamins of groups A, B1, B2, B9, PP, C and E,” the Ministry of Science noted.
The department noted that, in addition to the Japanese market, Kazakh products have aroused interest among businessmen from Central Asia.
