Kazakhstan Agrees to Supply Equipment to Belarus Worth $30 Million

The agreement between Kazakhstan's Hyundai Trans Auto and Belarus' RCM was one of the outcomes of the Kazakh-Belarusian Business Council meeting. The gathering took place within the framework of the INNOPROM. Belarus forum, with the participation of the Ministerstvo torgovli i integratsii Kazakhstana and QazTrade.

The parties have explored the supply of 790 machines to the Belarusian market. These are commercial vehicles produced in Kazakhstan, with delivery periods covering the years 2027 and 2028. The agreement's value is estimated to be at least $30 million.

According to the Kazakh ministry, the confirmed capabilities of the country's automakers in Belarus are up to 4,500 units annually. This estimate reflects export potential, not the volume of already concluded contracts. Additional opportunities for supplying Kazakh products in industries like rail engineering and the agribusiness sector are valued at $80.1 million.

A separate agreement provides for the promotion of goods through Kazakhstan's Trade House "Kazakh Trade House". The representation in Minsk began operations in January 2026 and supports export projects. Eight Kazakh manufacturers have already entered the supplier pool. This channel can potentially send up to 20 truckloads of goods a year worth up to $300,000.

Kazakhstan is also discussing food supplies to the Belarusian network Evroopt. The list of potential products includes oil, dairy products, drinks, mineral water, flour, grains, and canned meats. At this stage, these are discussions, not confirmed sales in the network's stores.

In railway engineering, Prommashkomplekt already supplies solid wheels to Belarus. Railways Systems Holding is discussing the export of wagons, rail buses, components, and other products. Two more projects are related to production in Kazakhstan: PozhSnab and Avtokomponenty KZ are considering producing special fire equipment, while Qaz-Bel Lift, together with Mogilevskiy zavod liftovogo mashinostroeniya, is developing an elevator project for future production in Aktobe.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 30% in 2025, exceeding $1.2 billion. From January to July 2026, mutual trade grew by 20.5%, reaching $723 million. Kazakh exports amounted to $180.3 million, and Belarusian imports to $542.7 million. Supplies of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial products in the first seven months of 2026 increased by 34.9%, to $24.9 million. Future negotiations are to focus on concluding specific contracts and increasing shipments.
