Karnataka’s Nandini Ventures into North India with Delhi Launch
The initial product rollout will include Nandini's signature milk and curd offerings, with plans to expand further. KMF Managing Director MK Jagadish also revealed the introduction of idli and dosa batter in Bengaluru on November 26, 2024, showcasing the federation's drive for diversification.
Strategic Preparations for Delhi Entry
To ensure a seamless market entry, KMF conducted extensive trial runs to transport milk over the 54-hour journey from Mandya, Karnataka, to Delhi. The federation has committed 2,190 dedicated tankers to supply approximately 100,000 kilograms of milk daily to the national capital and its surrounding areas, ensuring the same high-quality standards that have made Nandini a household name in Karnataka.
A Proven Legacy of Dairy Excellence
KMF, one of India’s largest dairy cooperatives, processes 8.4 million liters of milk daily across its 15 unions and 2.4 million milk producers in Karnataka. With over 65 dairy products under the Nandini brand, KMF has steadily expanded its presence beyond Karnataka to states such as Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, as well as international markets including the Middle East, Bhutan, Myanmar, and the U.S.
Competing in a Dynamic Market
The entry into Delhi positions Nandini as a competitor in North India’s dynamic dairy market. By leveraging its reputation for quality and affordability, KMF aims to cater to the growing demand for premium dairy products among consumers.
"This expansion underscores Nandini’s commitment to bringing its trusted dairy products to more households across India," said MK Jagadish. "Our strategic efforts aim to strengthen the brand's presence and diversify our offerings in line with consumer needs."
