Karachi Milk Prices Surge by 20 Rupees per Liter in April 2026

The new pricing structure also outlines costs for different sectors involved in the milk supply chain. Authorities stated that the price adjustment is intended to provide fair compensation to producers while maintaining the supply in the market.
Additionally, the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) in Pakistan has shown an increase of 0.97% for the week ending March 26, 2026. The SPI measures the price movement of essential commodities across 51 items in 17 cities. During this period, 23 items saw a price increase, 6 items decreased in price, and 22 items remained stable. The year-on-year SPI trend indicates a rise of 8.24%.
This adjustment in milk prices occurs amidst broader inflationary pressures in Pakistan, with notable price increases in onions, tomatoes, LPG, and chicken, among others.
