The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has recalled a batch of Dairy Farm Vanilla Ice Cream and Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate due to safety concerns.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has announced a recall of a specific batch of Dairy Farm Vanilla Ice Cream due to complaints about a "chemical smell" detected by some consumers.

The affected batch, identified with the code L24356B and a best before date of June 2026, is being withdrawn fr om Lidl stores wh ere point-of-sale recall notices are to be displayed.

Consumers are advised not to consume this batch. In a separate notice earlier this week, the FSAI recalled Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Almond Sea Salt chocolate bars (180g) due to the "possible presence of small stones."

The implicated batches, labeled as 162633 and 162614 with a best before date of 28/02/2026, are to be removed from sale by retailers, who are also instructed to display recall notices.

Wholesalers and distributors have been advised to contact affected consumers and provide recall notices to retailers.
