On January 6, 2024, under the leadership of the China Dairy Industry Association, the Professional Committee for the Production of Special Camel Milk in China, the Urumqi Dairy Industry Association, and the Shaanxi Dairy Products Association, the first conference on the development of the special camel milk industry in China was held.
The event was jointly organized by Yili Characteristic Dairy Group and Silk Road Group and successfully took place in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
Sun Kungan, the Chairman of the China Dairy Industry Association and honorary chairman of the Chinese National Committee of the International Dairy Federation, extensively analyzed the nutritional content of the milk of Bactrian camels and dromedaries. He noted that the nutritional value of Bactrian camel milk is more advantageous. According to the "Compendium of Materia Medica," the therapeutic value of camel milk has been confirmed.
