During the Victory Harvest conference, American philanthropist and Chairman of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Howard Buffett, disclosed details of the investment, as reported by Latifundist.com.

Buffett emphasized the importance of diversifying export channels, revealing the foundation's investment in a transshipment complex at the Ukraine-Hungary border, complete with a 30 thousand-ton elevator. He went on to announce the foundation's ongoing plans, in conjunction with its partners, to establish similar hubs at border points, facilitating the seamless loading of grain from railways onto containers for further transportation.

Expressing a shift in perspective, Buffett acknowledged Ukraine's atypical status for the foundation, noting that before the war, it wasn't a country in immediate focus. However, in the wake of the full-scale invasion and its global impact on food security, the foundation recognized the imperative to provide assistance.

In parallel, under the USAID sub-grant support program, financing has been earmarked for the construction and modernization of 15 grain elevators, with one currently under construction in the Rivne region.
