Head of Chowman Restaurant Group Receives Asia Leadership Awards 2026

Chaudhury received the award for his contribution to the development of the restaurant business and the expansion of the brands he founded. The group currently operates more than 62 restaurants across India.

The group’s largest brand is the Pan-Asian restaurant chain Chowman, which comprises more than 41 locations. The company began operating in Kolkata and later expanded into Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.

“This award belongs to my entire team as much as it does to me. We have come a long way, opening more than 62 outlets, but we see this as only the beginning. Our goal is to expand the Chowman chain to 100 restaurants by 2030,” Debaditya Chaudhury said.

According to Chaudhury, as the group continues to expand, it intends to focus on maintaining consistent food quality, customer service and the development of its restaurant teams.

In addition to Chowman, the company plans to expand the geographical presence of the Oudh 1590 and Chapter 2 chains. The group is considering entering new Indian cities and developing additional restaurant formats.
