Hatsun Agro Product Ltd Expands into Eastern India with Milk Mantra Acquisition

In a strategic expansion move, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, a leading dairy products manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of Milk Mantra Dairy Pvt Ltd. This acquisition includes the popular brand 'Milky Moo', solidifying Hatsun's position in the Eastern regions of India, particularly in Odisha.

With this acquisition, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd gains a significant market share, an extensive distribution and procurement network, and two strategically located processing facilities, enhancing its operational capabilities in the region.

"With Milk Mantra, Hatsun Agro Product is now present beyond our strong position in South and West India, now establishing a robust presence in Eastern India. Odisha is a prosperous cow belt, and a growing economy," stated RG Chandramogan, the Chairman of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd.

The strategic acquisition is expected to bolster Hatsun Agro's existing brand portfolio, which includes other well-known names such as Arun, ibaco, Hatsun, and Arokya. The company's expansion strategy will also focus on strengthening its footprint in neighboring markets like northern Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, where its brand Arun Ice-Cream already operates.

Milk Mantra's founder, Srikumar Misra, expressed confidence in the acquisition, noting that "HAP has visionary leadership and has extensive resources that will further elevate the value delivered to consumers and farmers alike." This transaction marks a transformative phase for both Milk Mantra and the dairy landscape in Odisha and beyond.
