The implicated products, ranging in sizes from 1.75L to 1.89L, were produced at a third-party facility in Ontario, which has since ceased all operations and shipments pending further investigation.

This recall does not affect Silk's shelf-stable lines such as Silk Barista or other ranges. Additionally, the CFIA has identified three SKUs of Walmart's Great Value brand almond beverages that are also being recalled. These include the Almond Beverage Unsweetened Original, Almond Beverage Original, and Almond Beverage Vanilla, all in 1.89L packages.

The health impact of this contamination has been significant, with nine confirmed cases of listeriosis, five of which required hospitalization. The CFIA has indicated that more products might be recalled as their investigation continues.

Frédéric Guichard, President of Danone Canada, expressed his deep concern regarding the situation, emphasizing the company's commitment to consumer safety and thorough investigation in collaboration with the third-party manufacturer involved. For a complete list of the recalled products, consumers are urged to visit the CFIA's recall page at recalls-rappels.canada.ca/en.
