Dairygold and Competitors Set February Milk Prices Amidst Market Stability

Dairygold maintains its milk price for February supplies, while other processors adjust their rates amidst a stable dairy market.

Dairygold has announced that its quoted milk price for February remains unchanged at 50c/L.
This rate includes bonuses for sustainability and quality, as well as VAT. The February early calving bonus of 5.26c/L will be paid on milk supplied in accordance with quality criteria, raising the potential price to 55.26c/L.
The announcement also revealed an average February farm gate milk price of 63.4c/L based on average February 2025 milk solids, with an EU Standard constituents price of 59.7c/L, including bonuses and VAT.
A company spokesperson stated, "Dairy markets are generally stable, with strong demand for butter and cheese, and somewhat weaker demand for milk powders."
Other processors have adjusted their prices: Kerry Dairy Ireland set its February price at 52.47c/L, inclusive of a base-price top-up and bonuses. Meanwhile, Lakeland Dairies reduced its base milk price, with adjustments for bonuses both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
