Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture has completed its work on updating statistical data in the livestock industry, according to the ministry's press service.
"As of January 1, 2024, the cattle population, including agricultural enterprises, decreased by nearly 2 million heads. Milk production dropped by 3 million tons, the number of sheep decreased by 14%, goats by 20%, pigs by 34%, poultry by 22%, live weight meat production by 15%, and chicken egg production by 10%," reported the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the ministry, these relevant data will improve the quality of planning and decision-making for regulating the domestic market.
It is noted that similar work is being carried out in crop production, which is expected to be completed by August 2024.
