Campeche Emerges as Mexico's Dairy Powerhouse

In a significant move to boost the dairy industry, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the President of Mexico, has initiated the Milk Self-Sufficiency Plan in Campeche. This plan includes the construction of a pasteurization plant with a substantial investment of 140 million pesos. Set to commence operations by November, the facility aims to produce 100,000 liters of milk daily, enabling nationwide distribution under the "Leche para el Bienestar" program.
The pasteurization plant is a campaign promise fulfilled by President Sheinbaum and is expected to play a critical role in scaling up the local milk production. "Here we are to support you and say that just as cocoa from Tabasco will be distributed in the form of chocolate across the nation, milk from Campeche will reach every corner of the country," Sheinbaum declared during the launch of the initiative.
This project aims to elevate national milk production from 13 billion to 15 billion liters over the next six years, with the production in Campeche doubling due to this new cutting-edge technology plant.
