Carmen Licon-Cano, a seasoned food engineer and dairy enthusiast, has assumed the role of director at Cal Poly's Dairy Products Technology Center.

In this capacity, she will oversee the research and development of dairy products conducted by Cal Poly students and faculty in collaboration with industry professionals. The Dairy Products Technology Center at Cal Poly focuses on research, outreach, and training, with an emphasis on cheese science and technology, dairy foods quality, dairy ingredients technology, and novel process technologies. Carmen Licon-Cano brings a wealth of experience and expertise in cheese making, locally sourced ingredients, and food product development to her new role.
