ATILRA Responds to Accusations Regarding SanCor Crisis
The Asociación de Trabajadores de la Industria Lechera de la República Argentina (ATILRA), the labor union representing dairy workers, has issued a statement following accusations from Pedro Morini regarding its alleged role in the financial turmoil faced by SanCor, one of Argentina's largest dairy cooperatives.

Pedro Morini, an advisor to the Santa Fe Dairy Board and former Secretary of Dairy in the province, claimed that ATILRA intended to take over SanCor. He attributed the cooperative's financial difficulties partly to this alleged intention. ATILRA has firmly rebutted these claims, stating that it has never had any intention of taking control of any company in the dairy sector.

ATILRA's Response
In the statement, ATILRA emphasized that the union, nor the workers, manage SanCor. Decision-making has always rested with the cooperatives' leadership, according to their legal responsibilities. The union highlighted that it has continuously supported efforts to maintain operations despite years of the workers not receiving full salaries and experiencing deductions that were not remitted to social security and other benefits.

Challenges for SanCor
ATILRA detailed how the workers have suffered due to mismanagement. For years, employees have worked under financial strain, as deductions for social security, health insurance, and other contributions were withheld but not submitted to the respective organizations. This left many employees unable to provide for their families, and eventually led to their decision to withhold services.

Misconceptions and Misdiagnoses
The statement also addressed misconceptions such as alleged blockades, which ATILRA states have been falsely reported and misinterpreted. ATILRA asserts that misinformation leads to erroneous decision-making, which has only exacerbated SanCor's issues.

Continuation of Support
ATILRA concluded by affirming its commitment to support and work towards the common good. It stressed the union remains open to collaboration with industry stakeholders and will continue to champion the interests of dairy workers.
