Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin participated in the third interregional forum "Kazakhstan-China," which took place on June 26 in Urumqi, China. The event saw the signing of several cooperation documents totaling $629 million, reports Dairynews.today citing the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

The forum served as an important platform for discussing current issues of trade-economic, transport, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and China, according to the Kazakhstan ministry. Representatives from 17 regions of Kazakhstan, major companies and business circles, as well as delegations from 27 regions of China, participated.

At the opening of the event, Serik Zhumangarin noted that China ranks fourth in terms of investment volume in Kazakhstan.

"All conditions for intensive interregional interaction have been created between Kazakhstan and China. At the same time, there is great potential for new investment cooperation opportunities," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

During the forum, 17 documents were signed for a total amount of $629.1 million, the press service reported. Among the major agreements were three contracts for the supply of sunflower oil, a contract between LLP "Qazaq Camel" and Xinjang Huaken Dairy Group Co Ltd for the supply of dried camel milk, and others.
