81 farms and 17 dairies began to be built in 2023 in Kazakhstan

In 2023, it was announced that 81 new dairy farms and 17 milk processing plants would be built in Kazakhstan. As a result of the announced investments, the country will produce 725 thousand tons more raw milk, and the livestock should increase by almost 100 thousand heads.
DAIRY FARMS
Dairy farmers of Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions intend to implement the most ambitious plans.
In the coming years, it is planned to build 23 new dairy farms in 11 districts in the Kostanay region . The largest investor in the region is the Olzha Agro agricultural holding, which plans to build 6 dairy farms with a total cost of 60 billion tenge. Commissioning of all six MTFs is scheduled for 2028.
Also, the implementation of projects was announced by Nadezhdinka LLP , Shadenov A.S., Astam and K LLP, Tobyl IP, Ak Niet LLP, Biday K LLP, Olzha Belyaevka LLP, "Arash Agro", LLP "INSPEC", LLP "Halvay-II", LLP "Engelsa", etc.
They promise to increase the number of dairy herds in the region by 17.5 thousand heads. About 100 billion tenge of investments were attracted to implement the projects .
In the North Kazakhstan region, construction of 17 MTFs was underway in 2023, and 9 of them were to be commissioned before the beginning of 2024.
It is planned to build 12 dairy farms in the Almaty region . In Pavlodar and Akmola - 7 MTFs each.
In the East Kazakhstan region, the implementation of 6 projects for the construction and reconstruction of dairy farms has been announced , including AgroVostok LTD LLP, Bagration 2 Farming Enterprise, Moyyldy-Bayokonur LLP, etc.
Thanks to this, the volume of milk production in the region should increase by 47.5 thousand tons per year, which, according to the regional authorities, will allow the workload of local milk processing enterprises to increase to 65% in 2024.
In the Abay region, it was announced the construction of two dairy farms with a total capacity of 800 heads and production of more than 5.6 thousand tons of milk.
Also, the construction of two dairy farms was announced in the Turkestan region .
In the Aktobe region, 2 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the construction of 4 dairy farms with a total capacity of 18.2 thousand tons.
The Kyzylorda region plans to implement more than 30 projects for the production and processing of livestock products. Among them are the construction of a dairy farm, a meat processing plant, the production of camel milk powder, pasteurized dairy products and other projects.
Kokshetau Gormolzavod LLP plans to launch a dairy farm for 1,200 heads with a production volume of 24 thousand tons in 2025.
MILK PROCESSING
Investments in milk processing are much more modest. The Turkestan region is striving to become a leader in milk processing and has planned the construction of four milk processing plants. The region plans to increase the volume of processing of milk produced in the region to 70%.
In the Aktobe region, 5 projects of processing shops with a total capacity of 15.4 thousand tons will be implemented .
The construction of three enterprises was announced by the authorities of the Kyzylorda region during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the region. These will be factories for the production of pasteurized dairy products, the Qazaq Camel LLP plant for the production of powdered camel milk with a processing capacity of 700 tons of raw materials per year, as well as a plant for processing mare’s milk.
The construction of two processing plants has been announced in the Kostanay region . OGR Company KZ LLP is constructing a plant for the production of dairy products in the village of Vladimirovka. The cost of construction is 236 million tenge. Commissioning is planned for 2024. In addition, the authorities announce the construction of a mare’s milk processing plant worth 3.07 billion tenge.
In the Karaganda region, the Akbulak Agro agricultural cooperative plans to begin milk processing and create a workshop in the Ugarsky rural district.
In the North Kazakhstan region, a large local agricultural producer plans to build a plant that will process 18 thousand tons of milk and produce pasteurized milk, sour cream, yogurt, acidophilus and children's functional food.
