Torres details that each 100 grams of cheese provides 32g of protein and zero carbohydrates. Parmesan cheese contains 1,159 milligrams of calcium per 100 grams of product, which contributes to bone health. Just 50 grams of this cheese covers 75% of the calcium requirement for adults," highlights Mejor con Salud.

Parmesan cheese doesn't contain lactose because during its manufacture, much of the whey is removed, making it almost lactose-free. Thus, it is often considered suitable for lactose-intolerant individuals.
