Mazatlán Cheese Producers Consider Price Hike Due to Rising Milk Costs

The Cheese Producers Union in Mazatlán is contemplating a likely increase in cheese prices, according to Salvador Osuna Osuna, the organization's president.
Cheese Price Consideration Linked to Milk Costs
Salvador Osuna Osuna, President of the Cheese Producers Union, commented that the recent surge in milk prices may force an adjustment in their product costs. He noted that the potential increase in cheese pricing is a direct response to a 50-cent rise in the cost of milk litre bought from local pasteurizing companies.
He elaborated, "We are currently in a wait-and-see situation, as pasteurizers have raised milk prices by 50 cents for the cattlemen." The final decision on a possible cheese price increase will be made after a meeting with the association's members, scheduled for the following week.
