Investments in agriculture and food systems will help combat the climate crisis - FAO
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will highlight the "unique potential of agriculture and food systems as the core of sustainable solutions" at the world body's upcoming COP28 climate change conference in the UAE, the organization said.
“The climate and food crises are inseparable. Investments in agriculture and food systems and rural areas provide a concrete solution to combat the impacts of the climate crisis. At COP28, FAO will systematically highlight how transforming agriculture and food systems accelerates climate action for the benefit of people, prosperity and the planet.” ,” said the organization’s general director, Qu Dongyu, who will lead the delegation at the conference.
The 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12.
