Exports of dairy products from Kazakhstan increased by 20 in the first 9 months of the year%

In the first nine months of 2024, milk and cream production in Kazakhstan amounted to 464.2 thousand tons — the indicator remained at the level of the same period last year.
At the same time, the production of other dairy products showed growth: yogurt and kefir (+4.4%, 179 thousand tons), cheese and cottage cheese (+10%, 37.1 thousand tons), butter and spreads (+2.1%, 24 thousand tons). However, the volume of dried and condensed milk decreased by 19%, to 4.5 thousand tons.
Exports of dairy products from Kazakhstan increased by 20% and amounted to more than 23 thousand tons. Export revenues reached $54.4 million.
Butter: exports increased 3.3 times, to 3.9 thousand tons. The main importers were Russia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
Cheese and cottage cheese: exports increased by 38.32% to 3.1 thousand tons. The buyers were Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Mongolia.
Yogurt and kefir: shipments increased by 18.2% to 11.1 thousand tons. The products were exported to Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Iran.
Against the background of overall export growth, there is a decline in some categories:
Milk and cream: exports decreased by 1.7 times, to 2.1 thousand tons. The main supply routes are Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Mongolia.
Powdered and condensed milk: volumes decreased by 12% to 938.5 tons. The main decrease is due to supplies to Russia (-24.4%). At the same time, China increased purchases 2.1 times, and Kyrgyzstan — by 41.6%.
