The DMK Group has officially relocated to its new premises at Maria-Cunitz-Str. 5 in Bremen, opposite Bremen Airport, after a construction period of approximately three years.
The opening ceremony, held today, was attended by employees, local politicians, and longstanding collaborators who all celebrated this milestone. Attendees were also offered an exclusive tour of the new building, where DMK has begun its tenancy.
Today marked not only a significant day for the DMK Group's employees, many of whom entered the building for the first time, but also celebrated the culmination of years of planning and development.
Ingo Müller, CEO of the DMK Group, expressed his excitement, "Today, we celebrate not just a move, but the realization of our vision for New Work, sustainability, and efficiency. It's exhilarating to finally see our plans come to life in this space, and even more so to share this moment with our dedicated colleagues who will activate these new environments starting next week."
The city of Bremen also has reasons to celebrate DMK's new establishment, seeing it as a strong endorsement of the local economy. "I congratulate the DMK Group on their new, state-of-the-art building. This is a clear vote of confidence in Bremen, showcasing the innovation and future readiness of our local businesses," said Kristina Vogt, Senator for Economics, Ports, and Transformation.
The new headquarters integrates key elements essential for a modern workplace:
Sustainability: Advanced building technologies offer top-notch energy efficiency and environmental protection, featuring a combined heat and power plant, a green roof, and a photovoltaic system.
Motivation: The office environment supports "New Work" with flexible spaces, cutting-edge technology, and enhanced opportunities for collaboration.
Economy: The relocation reduces overhead costs and provides flexible subleasing options.
Designed for hybrid work models, the building supports a 60% occupancy rate. It employs a clean-desk policy, enabling employees to select workstations based on their daily tasks, further supporting the activity-based working model.
Lydia Heckmann, Head of Property Management at DMK, highlighted the architectural and interior design features, "The design not only functions as marketing for DMK but also invites our employees to embrace innovative work styles. This new setup breaks traditional molds, fostering new thought processes within our ranks."
The ceremony was complemented by the opening of the in-house restaurant "Friends," operated by Foodsteps, which offered a taste of future culinary offerings to both DMK staff and external visitors.
