DairyRally Azerbaijan — more than just a car rally

Last week, a test car rally across Azerbaijan was completed, personally led by Mikhail Mishchenko, the founder of DairyNews.today. He tested the route, visited farms, factories, and cities where milk is not just a product but a part of culture, traditions, and modern technological breakthroughs. Based on this unique experience, we invite you to join DairyRally Azerbaijan, which will take place from June 16 to June 20, 2025.
The route covers the largest and most interesting enterprises in the country. Among them are Zəhmət Ruzi MMC (brand SAB) with its unique fermented milk drink GƏNCƏ DOVĞASI, enriched with fresh herbs. Next is Milla Dairy LLC, the industry leader with eco-friendly production and its own raw material base: the Yalama Aqropark farm, where Simmental cattle are kept and DeLaval milking parlors operate.
The following stops include Azersun Sumaxi Agropark, home to 2,000 Holstein cows and robotic calf feeders, as well as Ağsu Agrofresh, which employs Israeli technology for stallless housing and achieves yields of up to 38 liters per day.
Then there is a sheep farm with the Lacon breed, Qəbələ Agropark with 800 cows, Goychay Süd producing fermented dairy products and juices for VkusVill, and Azərsüd with a processing capacity of 120 tons per day and excellent ayran. The finale is the Atena Süd plant, designed by Danone, with a processing capacity of 250 tons, European equipment, and impeccable organization.
But Dairy Rally is not only about technology. We will visit the ancient city of Shamakha, explore the oldest mosque in the Caucasus, taste local wine, and see how history blends with agricultural innovation.
We will conclude our journey in Lankaran — a picturesque city in southern Azerbaijan at the foot of the Talysh Mountains and on the Caspian Sea coast. Here, we will summarize our experience, discuss future prospects, and perhaps start planning the next route..
