Chesapeake Utilities Unveils $22 Million Renewable Natural Gas Facility at Florida Dairy Farm
"This RNG facility highlights our capability to extend our expertise across the entire energy supply chain, from production to distribution," stated Jeff Householder, board chair, president, and CEO of Chesapeake Utilities. "We are proud to support both sustainable energy solutions and community advancement through projects like this.”
The facility, constructed and operated by Chesapeake Utilities’ subsidiary FPU Renewables LLC, has already generated and injected over 18,000 dekatherms of RNG since its startup. Transported by Marlin Gas Services, another Chesapeake subsidiary, the RNG is moved via a virtual pipeline to Yulee, Florida, for distribution to customers in Nassau County. This innovative approach underscores Chesapeake Utilities’ ongoing commitment to renewable energy and community-focused investment.
