South Korea Increases Ice Cream Exports to Russia by 0.7%

South Korea continues to strengthen its position in the Russian ice cream market, increasing exports in January 2026 by 0.7% to 94.4 tons, according to the country's customs statistics. Despite the growth in physical volume, the export value decreased to $306,000 from $318,000 a year earlier, indicating a drop in the average export price.
By the end of 2025, South Korean ice cream exports to Russia reached:

1.9 thousand tons worth $6 million,
compared to -
1.5 thousand tons at $5 million in 2024.
Meanwhile, Russian ice cream exports to South Korea remain significantly lower, although they show rapid growth:

43.2 tons worth $337,000 in 2025,
which is 3.4 times more than -
12.6 tons at $83,000 in 2024.
In January 2026, Russia did not export ice cream to the South Korean market.
Thus, South Korea maintains a significant advantage in bilateral trade in this category. Its exports to Russia are approximately 44 times greater than Russian exports in the opposite direction.
