Kazakhstan: In Kostanay region 85% of produced milk was processed in 2023

In the Kostanay region, 202 thousand tons of milk were produced by the end of 2023, of which 85% was processed. This year, over 8 months, 165 thousand tons of milk were produced, of which 140 thousand tons were processed, writes Dairynews.today with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin visited the Milkh LLC plant, which plans to launch a new cheese production facility in the near future. The plant will produce 20 types of hard cheeses with a total capacity of 2,000 tons per year, which will increase cheese production in the region by 1.5 times.
In addition, within the framework of new projects, the region will begin to produce such important products as lysine, starch, amino acids and bioethanol, which will also contribute to the development of the agro-industrial complex in Kazakhstan.
