Uruguay's dairy industry sees a 2% year-on-year increase in milk deliveries, strengthening sector recovery.

In February, industrial plants in Uruguay received a total of 131.83 million liters of milk, reflecting a 2% increase from the previous year. This marks the highest volume for the month of February since 2022, indicating a steady recovery for the dairy sector.
January had also seen a similar 2% year-on-year growth. According to INALE (National Institute of Milk), the total milk production for the year has slightly surpassed the figures of the first two months of 2024, reaching 297 million liters.
However, there appears to be a slight decline in March, with deliveries to Conaprole, Uruguay's largest dairy company, being 0.5% below last year's figures, showing a modest annual recovery of 1.2%.
